Formerly known as Transcription n' Typing Blog, this is just a little blog about my experiences, transcribing, health & exercise, and live streaming, with mentions of job searching and psoriasis, and whatever else might be going on at the moment.

Hello, everyone out there. I found a job out in the real world since I needed to find something steady.
Are you still interested in transcending from home and learning some tips? Just ask away.
Transcribing and typing from home is a real option in these down times, however it is not for everyone. First off, you should test yourself to see if you'd be able to do it. Find free typing and transcription tests online to test your ability and speed. Be aware though that these tests would not be the norm for actual transcription work. It is a start, so try it.
One thing any transcriptionist will need is a good foot pedal. A foot pedal is needed in order to control playback of the files being transcribed to text. Below is a newer model of the one I use. In fact, I am considering purchasing another just so I have a backup.
